Area 11-V consists of 8 regions each with its own board, including La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, Alpine, Jamul, Julian, Borrego Springs and Mountain Empire and surrounding communities. The Area 11-V operating revenue is generated by contributions from its regions and directly from AYSO.
Area 11-V and its Regions provide these activities -
For Players:
- U5 programs for players just starting their soccer experience.
- U6 through U19 core programs for boys and girls.
- EPIC (Everyone Plays In our Community) for children through adults with mental and physical disabilities.
- U10 through U19 AYSO United club program participating in the SoCal League in San Diego County.
- Post season tournaments
- Spring Season
- Summer Soccer Camps
For Volunteers:
- Coaching Program: Age specific training and certification for all coaches.
- Officials Program: Four levels of training and certification for referees
- Management Program: Training and certification for Regional and Area administrators and board members.
- Safe Haven training and background screening
- Kids Zone for proper and acceptable sideline behavior
Area 11-V is one of three AYSO Areas in San Diego County. The others are Area 11-S in the southern portion of San Diego County including Lemon Grove/Spring Valley and south to San Ysidiro, and Area 11-R in the central and northern portions of San Diego County from downtown north. These three Areas are part of the 9 Areas in Section 11.
AYSO Area 11V meets once a month and in an effort to ensure transparency in our operations, meeting minutes are available upon request.
